Meet the communities associated with the Movement

"Singing, dancing and living the magical experience of suspending the sky is common in many traditions of indigenous peoples."

Located on the right bank of the Arapiuns River, within the Lago Grande Agroextractive Settlement (PAE), Atodi is home to around 60 families, totaling approximately 150 people. The community sustains itself through activities like cassava flour production and sustainable tourism.

Anã lies on the banks of the Arapiuns River, a region threaded by numerous streams. It stands as one of the main landmarks for those navigating the river and plays a key role within the Tapajós Arapiuns Extractive Reserve (Resex). About 90 families live here—around 340 residents—who sustain themselves through meliponiculture, fish farming, community-based tourism, and family agriculture.
